Far Near Vol.II

Expression through art is not only the shaping and displaying of aesthetic feelings and thoughts in consciousness, but also the whole of interpretations and messages produced about the world. Art can initiate a dialogue that brings physical, spatial and temporal distances and closenesses together, and can build common spaces in the same coordinates by creating equal distance to different forms of expression and diversity of transmission. “Far/Near” exhibitions are added as a new one to the art platforms that extend beyond Istanbul in order to raise artistic awareness, strengthen the ties between the artist, art production and the audience, and strengthen the visibility and interaction of artists despite. The series of exhibitions, which will be spread simultaneously in various public spaces in different cities, aims to improve cooperation and dialogue between artists producing in different cities, while aiming for accessibility in art. “Far/Near” is interested in creating common and new horizons where life and art come into contact, while remaining aware that there is not only one direction in art, as in life.
