Hale Güngör Oppenheimer
Hale Güngör Oppenheimer (b. 1981) completed her BFA degrees at Parsons School of Design Paris in 2004 and Pratt Institute New York in 2009, as well as her MFA degree at Konstfack Stockholm in 2013. The artist has been living and working in Stockholm since 2010.
In her mixed media works and installations, Oppenheimer investigates spaces in between two and three dimensions and builds new settlements in these spaces while blurring the lines between the inside/outside, private/public and man-made/natural. Domestic objects and houses that have been displaced after a fictitious avalanche take root again in these alternative settlements that Oppenheimer creates.
