Often the relationship between the inhabitants of the house and the furniture of the house presents a personal individual organization and opens the door to the inhabitant’s own world, the space that has been lived or is being lived. And all objects become aesthetic forms as mirrors of the inhabitant’s own world. The phrase that gives the painting its title, “Move towards the gaps”, is a phrase usually heard in public transportation to make full use of empty spaces and to make more space for new passengers. In this work, there are a number of objects as specific interior objects, and these objects are nested, stacked on top of each other, squeezed as tightly as possible, and the sentence that gives the painting its title is intended to give the objects an anthropomorphic meaning. These household objects used in the works – such as armchairs, other furniture, plants – are intended to serve not only for fiction but also for personalization, for situations related to a person’s identity.
In this study, the pieces of a wooden furniture taken from a living space that has been used up were upcycled and frame was designed according to this work. The frame was designed by artist Tayfun Gülnar, unique to the work and produced in a single edition.
