The aim of Sevda Alat's works is to touch on social and cultural issues among the products of her own local and traditional folk art. Through folk art, which he defines as 'the art of telling a lot with less material', the artist creates works that show that it is necessary to first search for ways to produce art in our contemporary art of painting, by announcing this source to large masses. It is the changes in social identities that enable the work of art, which is shaped by the influence of many physiological, psychological, cultural and social factors, to be interpreted differently in different societies or by the same society in different time periods.
