Şakir Gökçebağ

He graduated from Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Graphic Department in 1987. He received his Master's Degree in 1990 and Proficiency in Art degrees in 1994 from the same faculty. He worked as a lecturer at the same faculty between 1989-2001. He went to Germany in 2001. Along with his art studies, he continued his academic studies in Germany.

In addition to Turkey, he held exhibitions in many art centers in Europe, including Arp Museum, CentrePasqu Art, Martin Grophius Bau and Sotheby's. The artist, who received the George Maciunas, Marcus Lüpertz, Stiftung Kunstfonds, Leo Breuer awards and various scholarships from the German and Austrian governments, continues his work in Hamburg.
