Şahin (1985-Ankara) graduated from Gazi University Fine Arts Faculty Painting Department in 2011. The focal point of his practice is the visual repertoire accumulated by phenomena such as social-political memory, identity-city-belonging. The transformation of the geography he lives in, the questioning of his socio-political affiliations and nationalities pushed the artist to forms of struggle against. The artist constructs this redefined 'geography' question along with a versatile art practice such as video, photography, drawing, canvas painting and sculpture, and his series contain political references.
