Orhan Cem Çetin
About
Born in Istanbul in 1960, Çetin trained himself in the field of photography. He completed his undergraduate degree in Boğaziçi University, Department of Psychology, and his master's degree in Visual Communication Design at Istanbul Bilgi University. When he opened his first solo exhibition, "Familiar Things" in 1988, he drew attention with his alternative approach to photography. Since then, Çetin has realized many personal projects and has been involved in many joint projects with artists from different disciplines. Orhan Cem Çetin is known for his conceptual, interdisciplinary and courageous attitude in his exhibitions, shows and performances. Çetin, whose personal works, essays and criticism texts are published in different printed and online media, earns his living as a freelance photography, photography consultant and photography instructor in addition to his art studies.
