Mert Özgen

Born in 1988, Mert Özgen graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Painting Department, Neşe Erdok and Nedret Sekban atelier in 2010. He studied at the Italian Academy of Bologna in 2008 and 2009 with an Erasmus exchange scholarship. In 2016, she completed the Istanbul Bilgi University Cultural Studies Master's Program with her master's thesis titled "Under the Skin: Wound in the Context of Psychoanalytic Theory", which examines bodily wounds within the framework of psychoanalysis and Christian icons.
