Mehmet Dere

Mehmet Dere was born in 1979 in Izmir. He graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting Department. He completed his master's degree in the same faculty and is currently doing his doctorate in Sakarya University Art and Design Faculty Painting ASD Department. The artist exists in a multi-layered area where everything comes into contact with everything in his works. Dere's early works exist in a political field centered on the socio-political history of Turkey / multiculturalism, the formation / preservation of polyphony in terms of identity, belonging and cultural democratization.
