Leyla Pekmen

Born and raised in Izmir, Leyla Pekmen started painting at the age of three. Pekmen, who spent most of her time growing up in her neighbor's art workshop, was influenced by different art forms. After studying economics, she worked in local and international advertising agencies and founded the independent advertising agency frog with 3 partners in 2005. He joined an art studio in 2011 and started making ceramic sculptures.

Inspired by nature, the daily chaos of Istanbul and her son, Pekmen's works consist of acrylic paintings, ceramic sculptures and collages.
