Gül Kozacıoğlu

Gül Kozacioğlu was born in 1976 in Ankara, Turkey, raised in Copenhagen, Denmark.
She has worked between Istanbul, Copenhagen and New York, within visual and aural media, utilizing photography, video, technology, music and poetry in her installations and performances. Her work is imbued with a wish to step us beyond notions of space and time and thus applies a visually semi-fantastic language to her expression, even of socially pertinent subjects as crises, censorship or war-induced migration.
She holds a BA degree in Philosophy from Bosphorus University, and later studied Philosophy of Design at Metu University in Turkey.
