My work extends from National Anthem to lecture, from Yeşilçam melodramas to copy papers found, to personal development videos shared on YouTube, adding public and private manifestations of different forms of domination, problematizing the technologies of power. Works reverse the social functions of materials through formal distortion, contextual rupture, or categorization of ordinary text and images. Instead of creating a sudden enlightenment, the new look proposed by this method leaves the viewer alone with temporary confusion, confusion, and inability to identify. In this way, nationalism, which seems independent of each other, aims to open a critical space by connecting the functioning of domination mechanisms such as patriarchy, knowledge and power.
