Zeynep Torun

Born in Adana, Zeynep Torun graduated from the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts(Mimar Sinan University) Department of high painting. She worked in the workshops of Cevat Dereli, Adnan Çoker and Neşet Günal. She graduated from the State Conservatory of Turkish Music, Department of Basic Sciences. She painted for different children's magazines. She worked ceramics in Cevdet Altuğ's workshop. She concentrated her art work on ceramics and opened her own ceramic workshop. She made boards for different organizations. Since 1993, the artist, who has been conducting paintings and ceramics together, has participated in many group exhibitions and opened solo exhibitions at home and abroad. In addition to teaching painting and art history in secondary education, she trained students in special ceramics and painting courses.
