Serdar Acar
About
Serdar Acar was born in 1992 in Istanbul. He studied painting in Marmara University's Faculty of Fine Arts between 2012 and 2016, and was graduated ranking third in his department, holding the first rank in graduation project. In 2017, he began his Master in Art and Design in Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Today, he continues his studies and works in his atelier in Cihangir, Istanbul.
In my works, I focus on the solitude of human beings and the existential patterns we are enabled in this solitude. Within this frame, I aim to reflect the mood of the individual, and possible-possible but out of reach-possible enabled opportunities and setbacks by opening gaps in spaces.
The reason of the indirect implications in my works is to protect the privacy of desire towards possibility and impossibility.
Since I create my arts work as expressions of my feelings and thoughts, I choose colors that do not lead the audience towards another feeling or thought.
