He was born in Ankara in 1982. He graduated from Dokuz Eylul University, Faculty of Fine Arts, "Painting". He founded the “Underscene Project” in 2007 and participated in many joint exhibitions in Finland, Switzerland, Germany, as well as guest programs in France and Hungary. Şendil's works often offer clues about real life and His expectations. Merve Şendil uses various techniques and materials to describe the realities of her imagination. For this, he inevitably frequently uses the sounds produced either by himself or by collaborating with other artists in his works. Şendil, in his recent works, uses stories and books that he wrote himself to establish the integration of written and visual language. The artist believes that her hand knit works provide the link between her dreams and her real life. Merve Şendil lives and works in Istanbul.
