Ludovic Bernhardt is a visual artist and writer. Born in France and of Irish descent, the artist currently lives and works in Paris, after Istanbul and Lisbon. Immediately after graduating from Le Fresnoy Contemporary Art Studio, where Sarkis was a student, he spent several months in India in the Indo-Tibetan Himalayas, where he discovered Hinduism and Tibetan art and religion; Afterwards, he started to produce works focusing on geocultural identities, cartographies and political signs. Since this period, he has produced a variety of installations, objects, pictures, texts and graphics – meditative diagrams, anxiolytic yantras, pill designs, military codes, distorted borders – to examine some psycho-geopolitical problematics. He created a self-published collection of books called (Global)*Z, presented at Multiple Art Days in Paris in 2016. The artist is represented by SANATORIUM in Istanbul. Bernhardt, who often collaborates with the art initiative space Plateforme in Paris; He participated in many exhibitions and art fairs in France, Turkey, Austria, Poland, India, Switzerland, Portugal, China and Greece. He curated the exhibition Hyphologie, which features works by French and Turkish contemporary artists, in Istanbul.
