Gülçin Aksoy

1965 Lives and works in Istanbul.

Continuing active art production since the early 1990s, Gülçin Aksoy took part in many artistic acts collectively as well as her individual production.

In 2019, "Wednesday Troupe" curated by Shulamit Bruchtein took part in the exhibition held at Artam Gallery. In the same year, she realized the solo exhibition "Animated Text / High Art Board" at Pasajist. She was one of the exhibitors and exhibition planners of the building exhibition "Our Go Will Be Amazing". In 2018, she was in Berlin with DAAD scholarship for artists and academics. In 2018, she held his personal exhibition 'Choir' at the Greek School, and in 2017, Zilberman Gallery held two personal exhibitions called 'A' and the 'Family I Love Graveyard' at Thursday Market. Her solo exhibition "Double Story", which she realized at Depo in 2014, included fictional arrangements about the life of the artist. She held his first personal exhibition in 1991.

Since 1993, she has been working as a lecturer at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting. The artist, who has been running the "Carpet Workshop", positions her artistic production on learning and producing together, without separating it from her educator identity. One of his projects, which includes this process and carried out with her students, was "Learning Process", and "Academiae Youth Art Biennale" in Boozen, Italy. Atılkunst collective, a part of the Carpet Workshop process, was one of the co-production models.
