About
Ezgi yakın's work is suspicious and pessimistic of the modern world it carries the ambiguous traces of inner time in its reality and draws the viewer from the imagination it encourages a fed alternative view. A space that does not have a specific location, fluid, light and volatile images, painting by transfiguration from the realm of reality they settle on the surface. In her works, the architect stands between the structure and the organic structure hybrid forms attract attention. But at the same time, these forms are static to the idea of structure it tends to disrupt the trait of being. In other words, with a natural acceptance breaking a kind of compromise by making the order of ordinary things a problem the effort is at stake. The artist owns some elements of the surreal attitude, but a pictorial language that moves away from representations of the objective world in an effort to abstract it adopts and uses the poetic power of feminine aesthetics, feeding off the fantastic field. The image world created by the artist, which interacts with the collective unconscious and it arises from a process that explores elements of its self.
Pictures, of the day in a climate of despair imposed by its troubles and rational gaze, the outside world instead of being a reflection, it establishes an indirect relationship with it and subjective perception it appears as a product. A utopian impulse that has turned nowhere from today looking at these shaped works as a kind of double imaginary cross-sections it is possible.

Ezgi received her bachelor's degree in 2010 and her master's degree in 2015. Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of painting has completed. Currently, she continues her proficiency in art education in the same department and she works as a research assistant. Also in various periodical art publications her writings are included. She attended Kair Artist Residence program located in Slovakia in 2019 . The artist lives and works in Izmir.
