Çınar Eslek
About
Çınar Eslek, in many of her works, does not look at the body, the traces of the movement independently from the space, and that she has problematized the issue of representation, both with her autobiographical references and in her metaphorical meanings, based on her experiences of the forces of formation, action and exposure. As a complex material existence, the artist, in particular, is an active material in interactions with inorganic-organic, natural-artificial, machinery and technology, in the possibilities of living, thinking and position. It focuses on thinking the body as the perpetrator and how the bodies affect each other.
The artist prefers to question the problematics of art in a historical line with her uncanny compositions, which we do not encounter with visual, three-dimensional layouts along with canvas, photography and video, image abstractions from a macro point of view, and art-produced images that interact with each other.
She completed her master's thesis at Marmara University Fine Arts Institute with her thesis "Transformation of Physical Pain into an Artwork as an Experience" and her license in Mimar Sinan University's Painting department. İKSV participated in 'Cite De Arts' Paris residence program
