Cansen Ercan

Cansen Ercan graduated from M.E.T.U. Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Department of Political Science and Public Administration in 1982, and then went on to complete her degree in Fine Arts from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (MSFAU), Painting Department in the Neşet Günal - Neş'e Erdok Atelier in 1987. She completed MSFAU Painting Department's Masters Program in 2010. Her first solo exhibition took place in Urart Art Gallery in 1989. In addition to six solo exhibitions at Nadya Art Gallery, she held 11 personal exhibitions at Harmony Art Gallery between 1997 and 2010. Other solo exhibitions of the artist include Bella Pais Art Gallery (Nicosia, 1998), Helikon Art Gallery (Ankara, 2006, 2007, 2009), Beyoğlu Akademililer Art Gallery (2007) and Art Shop (Izmir, 2010). Her Artist's Book was Published from Harmony Art Gallery publications in 2004. She began her work with Evin Art Gallery in 2012 and went on to win the Sedat Simavi Awards Visual Arts Award in 2013. Cansen Ercan lives in Izmir and continues her work there.
