About
I completed my undergraduate and master's education in 1997 at Mimar Sinan University Faculty of Fine Arts. Throughout this educational journey, I had the opportunity to explore various fields of art and develop myself in various artistic mediums. I gained experience in a wide range of areas, from installation art to assemblage, from digital photography to drawing, and canvas works.
The central focus of my work is to address the psychological processes between subjective and collective experiences from a feminine perspective. Shaping my art from this perspective, I aimed to reflect the richness and complexity of the human inner world. I believed that art could provide a deep understanding of the human psyche, and I tried to reflect this understanding in my works.
Nature plays an important role in artistic expression. The beauty and complex structure of nature carry a metaphorical meaning that overlaps with my emotional experiences in the inner world. Therefore, I often incorporated nature into my works. By combining my inner landscapes with external landscapes, I tried to open the doors to both concrete and abstract realms of thought for the viewers.
