Can Küçük
About
Can Küçük (b.1993) lives and works in Istanbul.
Can Küçük works with the industrial environment on the scale of material, object and space, especially with the ones who have a direct relationship to the body. Rather than accepting them as given structures, Küçük seeks their potential meanings and transforms them in a way that reveals how they create social situations. Thus, he aims to analyze the interaction between the individual and the object by focusing on the material, the mode of production or the moment of encounter with the audience.
Recent group exhibitions include Closed Doors, ArtOda, Museum Evliyagil, Ankara (2019), Positive Space, Operation Room, Istanbul (2018), A Day at the Hotel, Zilberman Gallery, Istanbul (2018), Burnt Palaces, PİLOT, Istanbul (2018), Genetically Modified, Bahar, Sharjah Biennial, Istanbul (2017) and Oxytocin: Experiments on Trust, Haydarpaşa Train Station, Istanbul (2016).
