Born in 1988 artist from Izmir, Burak Dikilitaş graduated from the Photography Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul in 2015 with a year of exchange education at the Rotterdam Willem de Kooning Academie, Autonome Beeldende Kunst. After graduation, he moved to Izmir, where he participated in numerous art projects, produced his own works and built a network. He took part in the Akbank Contemporary Artists Award, which was held in 2015 during his education, and also won the TÜYAP No.8 award the same year. Among the exhibitions he attended were, “Darağaç | Bu Arada” (1519. Sk., Alsancak, 2016), “Detail” (BLOK Art Space, 2016 “Living and Producing in Izmir: Authors of the City” (Studio-X, 2018), “Resource Utopia” (Elgiz Museum, 2019). The artist, who lives and works in Istanbul, writes his master's thesis, "Experimental Photography in Cyber Cultural Context" at Dokuz Eylül University Fine Arts Institute, Department of Photography and continues his non-thesis master's degree in Sabancı University VAVCD program.
