.artSümer

Founded by Aslı Sümer in 2005, .artSümer aims to promote new and up-and-coming contemporary artists who discuss present-day issues through a universal language and a unique approach. The gallery roster includes artists from Turkey and abroad, many of whom have held their first exhibitions here. .artSümer focuses on local and international art platforms and in addition to regular exhibitions of gallery artists, also values making space for the works of independent artists who are not represented by a gallery.

The artists employ practices as varied as painting, drawing, installation, photography, video, and new media, and although different in form, they all fundamentally share a similarly poetic, thought-provoking, and playful outlook which collectively contributes to the distinct conceptual integrity of .artSümer.
